git would make the work I do easier. SVN is in no way a showstopper, but having
multiple remotely accessible local branches would make it easier for me to vet
ideas and implementations before proposing them back to the community.

Hi all,
There has been a sometimes heated discussion at the ASF over Git vs Subversion.
I'm not going to reiterate all that here. However, I'd like for us to start a
discussion whether we want to migrate to Git, or stay with Subversion. Infraops
are looking for more volunteers to participate in
