Hello,
I wanted to cross-post a proposal that I'm making to the Iceberg community.
We're proposing creating a Terraform provider that can connect to an
arbitrary Iceberg REST Catalog and be used to manage
namespaces/tables/views.
There's a lot of potential to extend this to the Polaris community
I got the chance to see the preview. It looks really good. Thanks for
driving this, Scott!

I checked:
- Source distribution
-- incubating is in the version/name
-- hash and checksum are good
-- DISCLAIMER is present
-- LICENSE and NOTICE are good
-- File headers are correct
-- No binary file found in the distribution
- Binary distribution
-- incubating is in the version/nam
+1 (non-binding)
Verified:
1 - Checksums and signatures
2 - Build passed
3 - Bootstrap and run Polaris
4 - Run a sample benchmark with the JDBC persistence to create catalogs and
entities

Hi Eric,
I agree with your points.
What worries me in the Iceberg spec is this statement:
"Clients may initiate the first paginated request by sending an empty query
parameter `pageToken` to the server."
I think it implies that a client that does not send a pageToken parameter
can expect to get
+1 (binding)
Did check:
* Reproducible build: binary contents of staged archives and locally
build artifacts are equal (except for the known differences mentioned
in https://github.com/apache/polaris/issues/2204)
* Signatures/checksums
* Local build
Verified against

+1, thanks for driving this!

Hi folks,
Maybe you know, I'm working on an Iceberg component for Apache Camel.
I have a first version that works and I implemented a simple route
consuming from a Kafka topic, processing the Kafka record and
inserting data into Iceberg tables. The component is able to
"dynamically" create Iceberg
