Happy New Year. Apologies for the delay in getting this release out.
We would like to get this going and wrap this up in a month as it is long
due. Let us target to get all the patches in by Jan 25 and branch and
hopefully have a release candidate out for voting by first week of Feb.

But better late than never. I'd like to see if we can get a release out
for Pig 0.18 with hadoop 3 support.
