Hey folks,
I think we are very close to cutting the first Apache release. Yet, there
are many small steps to do. Personally, I have been procrastinating on them
as I don't exactly know what to do.
To get over this "fear of the unknown", I have made a painfully detailed

Hi Dave!
I wish we could use "-" instead of "_"". Unfortunately, Python release
names must be normalized. As part of this normalization, "-" symbols are
automatically replaced with "_".
Case in point - I did use "apache-otava" [1] and poetry automatically
replaced it with "apache_otava".
As for

To summarize, here is the structure we want in
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/incubator/otava/:
0.6.0-incubating-rc-5/
apache-otava-incubating-0.6.0-rc5-src.tar.gz (the payload is the github
tag archive - exactly what we had in this RC).
apache-otava-incubating-0.6.0-rc5-src.tar.gz.asc

propose to cut 0.6.1 release now. What do you think?

Hello everyone,
Please review and vote for the releasing Apache Otava 0.6.1-incubating-rc1.
The main goal of this minor release is to propagate project's README to
PyPI's project description (https://pypi.org/project/apache-otava/).

Thanks for starting this thread! Making the project work with the modern
Python version is very important for project adoption. At the same time, I
don't think that we should maintain versions lower than Python 3.10 in
newer major releases as pre-Otava users already have 2 releases to migrate
to.

Hey,
Thanks for your interest in the project! May I ask your name so I can
address you properly?
Apache Otava is very much in active development. I'd attribute low commit
activity to the imbalance between the project maturity and the size of the
active community. In other words, Apache Otava has

Hey everyone,
This change is significant, so I wanted to open a discussion about it first.
The main motivation for this change has been that the current Poetry
version does not support later Python versions and newer Poetry versions do
not support our current project config format. Since the buil
