Mathias, I was trying on the pi ARM. Then, I moved Debian - x86 and had a similar error. I figured I'd try on desktop first, right - then port. But had similar errors. I am following the build guide. Had a few issues like hsqldb and now cosv. what version of gcc is preferred? I'm using 8.3.0

I would try to build the cosv module "alone". Go into the cosv folder and then enter make. The line which builds the comdline.o is (I think) Package_inc.mk:$(eval $(call gb_Package_add_file,cosv_inc,inc/cosv/comdline.hxx,comdline.hxx)) And the static library is defined I think in StaticLibrar
