I've been conducting a little experiment over the past hour. Running OO 4.0.1
on Xubuntu 13.10, I monitored memory usage of OpenOffice.
I found that as long as OpenOffice was in use, it did not fully release memory
used by earlier files even though these had been closed.
I monitored total compu
Dear OpenOffice support,
I'm accessing the Apache OpenOffice site from Portugal and I was trying to
download the english installer.
However, the link for that ("*Get all platforms, languages, language packs*"
- https://www.openoffice.org/pt/download/other.html) results in error:
*Error 404!*

I think this is a good idea. For reasons already outlined. It would also
give people a place to find honorable ways to get a copy instead of a cheap
CD with a 3 yo version.
I do think maintaining the list may be difficult. Maybe allow some type of
rating? I also think some type of revoking policy

repeat questions from the 2013 version?
I'd volunteer to solicit for questions and edit the blog p

Great idea! Direct communication with other partners is what is necessary
for interactive business, and with all other features AOO will open totally

Hello,
I just wanted to let you know that I downloaded a version of OpenOffice from
openoffice.us.com to my computer and to my wife's laptop. Both of these
computers were then "infected" with a trojan web browser highjack program that
forced us to use search.findwide.com as a default search en
Hello all:
My name is Tyler Kavanaugh, and I am from Kansas, in the United States.
I would very much like to be a part of the OpenOffice project, with a
focus on QA/accessibility, as I am a blind user who uses screen-access

Clarence GUO has asked for review:
Bug 123909: Select one column, paste cell range with merged cell in, AOO will
