I think Drew was an initial admin of the oooforum and also there are

The workaround is to put the table not at top. E.g., put the cursor into
cell A1 (top left) and before any content. Then press [Return] to create
an empty paragraph before the table.

I do not know how to report bugs yet, but I just found one in the new
version of Open Office Writer. I did a select all, and it only selected a table
and ignored the rest of the document. For to create my problem, you may need to
put the table at the top of the document followed by
