Solr EventListerner where to add the implementing classes

I am planning to implement the solr(4.9) EventListener interface to listen to the indexing event using DIH. I am not sure where to add these classes "StartIndexingEventListener" and "EndIndexingEventListener" so that solr could find them and do the necessary. Tried searching, but could not find

how to highlight the whole search phrase only?
