I wonder if we've considered adding a Gradle task timeout [0] on unitTest and integrationTest tasks. The timeout applies separately for each subproject and marks the currently running test as SKIPPED on timeout. This helped me find a test which stalls builds [1]. [0] https://docs.gradle.org/8.5/u
