In order to ease the testing and bug fixing, I have not cut a release
branch yet. This, however, requires that no more features will be merged

as discussed in this thread [1], we will freeze the feature development for
Flink 1.7 on the 22nd of October 0:01 CET.
Please try to finish your feature work until then. If this is not possible,
then don't worry because it will then be released with Flink 1.8+.
