something like "Apache Flex [Mobile] Showcase", assuming people agree
it's a good fit. Boring, I know, but it's straight to the point and
links Apache to Flex.

Hello,
I had some minor issues with grabbing the SDK using Chrome (and IE).
Nothing to stop anyone serious, but some devs can be picky about first
impressions, and I want to see this SDK continue to grow like it should.

I wasn't able to find anything recent about a UI design tool for Apache
Flex. There seemed to be some discussion of this awhile back, but how
far did it get? Are there any links to a project or source? Sorry if
this has been brought up 100 times already. I think a tool like this
will be cru

make use of it under special circumstances.
So I don't know, I guess there will always be two camps here. But don't
forget that quite a few competing SDKs have such design tools.
ExtJS/GWT and GWT come to mind here.

Thanks, I think Radiate is what I was recalling from before.

So I guess this isn't really an active OSS side project, then. Seems a
little more ambitious, a little more commercial and less tied to Flex
specifically than I would like too.

Igor,
That looks good, but since it looks like it runs in Chrome (not
available at my work and would be a nightmare trying to get it), it's
just not an option. :(

I would have considered jumping on board to assist an existing OSS

You mean FlashDevelop right? That supports Apache Flex?
Looks like it takes plugins too, hmm.

Could always give FlexDevelop a try if you need an open source option.
It's windows only and gives you most of what you need out of the box.

Just to note, I don't expect the Apache Flex team or anyone else to
"solve our problem", but maybe this helps raise awareness. I want this
SDK to be a long term success.

I like the contest idea. That way FlatSpark can still enter if they are

Is Swiz still going to be merged into the standard SDK? Or has that

I was in contact with chris (the author of swiz), and although he had the
intention to make the donation he was very busy to make it happen, so
things where left and nothing happens in the end.
