Hi Mike,
I have to delay the re-writing of the Falcon IJ setup for at least one more day.

Sorry for the noise. I installed FP in IE and I FINALLY got asjs repo to
build! All swcs and cross compile seemed to work.
So now for the next phase, I guess I am at where piotrz is at with
IntelliJ, seeing if I can get it to recognize stuff.
@piotrz I should be of some help in the next couple da
Alex, what is the FlexJS build trying todo when it opens Explorer? Unit
tests? So if that is true, I need the Flash Player installed in it right? I
NEVER use IE so, I am sure this is the case, the build is failing at test :

Well, a day later and I still can't get asjs built.
There is something wrong compler.jx unit tests so I just compiled without
the all.
Then I tried compiling asjs, seems like you have to build flexunit first
correct?
Then I tired building flexunit and get this error;

Heh, figures I just looked at the terminal and it was compiler.tests/temp.
Added that and all the MXML functional test now pass.

Alex, how do I find out which files/directories to add?

Some of the tests run SWFs that load files from the file system. The
folder contains those files need to be added to the trusted folders for
Flash.

@Alex What does this mean when running the MXML unit tests;
SecurityError: Error #2017: Only trusted local files may cause the Flash
Player to exit.

Eh, I went by the README instructions in the falcon dir which is different
then the ones you gave me. No, I didn't run ant all, and the problem was
actually the download.xml didn't run on all the projects. :)
My bad.

True. I’m not sure there is a way to do it, either. You have to set
ANT_OPTS

Not sure, they work only because of some manual tweaking IIRC, will check that
this weekend, as I said, they are not on this computer.

I’m currently using Helios.

I got errors checking out the sdk, couldn't copy a mustella file or
something, then other errors I have not seen in GIT before. I couldn't then
checkout develop.
I'll try again next week.

Alex & Erik, thanks for the tips, I should have just read the READMEs

Yeah, this kind of makes me sad, seems that if I was to do this, I need to
download Eclipse and just use it to get everything setup. What version of
Eclipse are you using?

Heh, I know there are tests, what I meant was, a "commit" some time when
everything was running. 2 years is a long time, I feel like I am blind and
it's funny to think at one time I had all this working and building. :)

Yes, the Falcon compiler has barely changed since then. It still grabs
a few chunks from the flex-sdk repo.

Flex-falcon currently requires flex-sdk and flex-asjs. Flex-sdk requires
flex-blazeds and flex-tlf. Flex-asjs requires flex-flexunit and flex-sdk
and flex-falcon so there is a circularity. It should all be documented in
various readme files. The dependencies should only be involved in running

Hmm, I have been reading the READMEs so it seems the whole thing has to be
built, I know now it seems obvious.
So it still looks like the whole compiler code is Eclipse centric, I don't
even know how I would go about trying to set this up to build in IntelliJ.
(how to import the modules)
On Thu,
Ok, my little boy curiosity has been peaked enough to want to try and
compile this beast.
It's been 2 years since I even had this code on my computer. Do I need the
Flex SDK still to compile for FlexJS and the cross compiler?
My goal is to be able to build the compiler and the FlexJS framework. C
