I may find time this weekend. In looking around, I see that
flex-falcon/compiler.jx/bin and flex-asjs/js/bin have their own copies of
jsc so both need to be renamed? Flex-asjs/build.xml and
flex-asjs/installer.xml reference jsc.
Then there is jsc.jar which is the current name of the FalconJX jar
Yeah. I remember that installer.xml sets permissions to make them
executable. Probably good to check build.xml too. I'm headed out of town
for the weekend in a few minutes, but I can make the necessary changes on
Monday.

Is it just a matter of changing those two files? Go ahead and do it.
Maybe see if those files are referenced by a build.xml file.

Can we get the suggested name change from jsc to asjsc into this release?
I think the last time you mentioned it, Alex, you asked if the hyphen
should be there or not. While I was the one who originally offered the
hyphen as an option, I say just leave it out. asjsc seems fine to me. I
think some
It seemed to work fine for me on Win7 Java7.
Please send me the console log and one of the SWCs that doesn’t have the

Well, that's what I thought... But nope.
Windows is having a Friday, I'm afraid. The Jenkins service refuses to
start and I can't even get the Services system panel to launch. Something
is borked, I'm afraid.
I was so close... :-(
I'm out of the VM, feel free to jump in and give it a try!

That was one ignored VM ;-)
I've updated the test script, the various debug players, Windows, Jenkins,
Chrome and the VM (increased size, will sponsor the cost).

Unfortunately the last RC will be the release ... that's why I would publish a
release of each RC to the Staging repo. If the release passes, the release goes
out the door ... if not the staging repo is dropped and nothing goes out the
door.
I didn't quite get that Alex didn't stage an official
I think this is how it should map:
Release Candidate artifacts == SNAPSHOT
Released artifacts == RELEASE

I’ll try it tomorrow. I’m shutting down for tonight.

Well I deffinitely won't have time to do the entire release process. You

I still have the issue of not being able to compile FlexJS on windows. Any
chance you can take a look on a windows box? This is pretty critical, IMHO.

No not yet. I’ll try to get to that over the weekend. In theory, those
on the PMC are supposed to be grabbing the source packages and building it
all yourself ;-)

Same answer ;-)
Thanks for helping out,
-Alex
No ... remember when I used to stage a release of a Maven project? I put the
stuff in a staging repo and pass around the url of that repo. As soon as the
vote passes, I switch that to release and the stuff is out the door ... that's
what I'm asking to do.
