Adobe has fixed this issue in their latest AIR 14 beta [1]. You can test
it out by downloading the Apache Flex SDK Installer from here [2] and
select the the "AIR 14 beta" for the AIR SDK.

Hi Darkstone,
I cannot imagine the current Flex SDK will ever go away as long as there
are folks interested in using it and developing for it. I expect there
will be two branches as you recommended for quite some time, probably even
forever.

I'm using the experimental maskedTextInput on a application and when i apply
a mask like -### for example it works fine, but in some cases in my
application i will need my maskedTextInput to have no mask, so i set the
mask as "" and after doing that i cannot insert nothing to the tex
