Yup, refactoring an active code base is never fun. I'm about to shut it

It looks to be a small change, but it's confusing to have to look at
three sources (original, 'goog.events' and Carlos'), so I expect some
errors to creep into the code after this merge. Shouldn't be too big
of a deal to fix the ones we find, tho
Should hopefully be a small change. How is it going? Did you get the

Hi Mark,
My personal preference is for #2, but only slightly. IMO, fewer APIs are
better as long as they are discoverable, but you can go with #1 if you want.
My only thought was that it appears that at least internally most of the
code could be in a setButtonEnabled() method and even the array v

Alex,
Give me an opinion which of these you prefer. I have a few sets of
changes I could use. I will apply the same logic for the array based ones

1. Keep the existing named methods (disableButton/enabledButton) and move
70% of code to a button index lookup method which they both call.

Yeah, I just pushed a fix for that.
The closure compiler now returns two warnings. Were you seeing that in your
branch? Otherwise, there must be something else I'm still not copying based
on chasing the requires list.

Alex,
I have the requires where they are supposed to be (only 3 places now,
1 for EventTarget - EventDispatcher - and 2 for Event - Event and
CustomEvent) and I'm getting errors from the Publisher:
1:
Finding file for class: goog.events.EventTarget
Could not find file for class: goog.events.Event
Interesting. Eclipse didn't auto-refresh after the pull. All's well

BTW, I just found out that the closure library isn't consistent in its use
of goog.provide/goog.require package names.
For example: /closure/goog/events/EventTarget.js is set up as expected:
goog.provide("goog.events.EventTarget");
But /closre/goog/events/Events.js just has

It is that damn circular dependency stuff again. This is easily the most
"broken" thing about the Closure compiler. Once we had to support

have to filter out circularities at publish time.
