When you say actual backups, how would it be different from the Volume

Sec Storage whereas Snapshots are just a point-in-time state of your volume

I have plans to make Object stores better integrated in Cloudstack. The

Agree with Marty, adding Docker containers to the picture although can make
the VR more flexible but the added complexity is just not worth it. Not to
mention we would need to take care of networking each container manually
and given that our iptable rules are very unstable at the moment I don't

I've described have already been solved in VyOS. We also
get the advantage of a potential wider community to fix and maintain the VR
and given our current development velocity, it think it totally makes sense
to look for a 3rd party option.

Hi nux,
Just so I understand, what is the metadata that VR sends to a VM?

I see thanks. So this happens when you create a new VM or when you try to
reset password of an already existing VM?

need and if everyone has a similar setup in their labs as well, we can be
very confident about the PR working in different environments.

Since no one answered, I am assuming this is a bug and I've opened a PR to
fix this https://github.com/apache/cloudstack/pull/1424
