Commit 4c193a1b6950932698270828a831fcd994c7ae4a in branch refs/heads
Hi,
I have the setup with latest code. When I tried to view the list if templates
without configuring zone , it is listing all the system vm templates and
default cent OS templates .
I have not observed this behavior before. Is it introduced intentionally or is
It a issue with API response ?

Mike,
If you create a cloudstack-management package and run
"cloudstack-setup-management" before starting the management server you can
run the MS as user cloud without experiencing these issues...
It sets up the correct privileges.

Hi all,
I've hit a problem that I have been chewing on for the past few hours. A
few months ago I changed the local storage path naming convention (examples
below) and updated the corresponding records in the cloudstack database
manually. This works great until old templates are used. I understand
just dawned on me, you might have to forget the storage pools (if no vm's
are running) on the hosts. Then reconnect the kvm agents (by restarting the
service on the hosts or from cloudstack-> force reconnect command). they
should get programmed correctly!

It sounds like the failure you were seeing was intermittent, so if it crops
up again, just paste in some more logs and I'll take a look.
Thanks,
Dave.

I kind of lost the plot (perhaps because I was missing for a few weeks). I
didn't get why we need the change (or perhaps it is reverting an older

Hi All,
There are still 200+ critical and blocker defects pending to be validated. Even
if a small %age of these gets rejected, that would cause quality issues for
release. Pl make sure to close these ASAP. First column shows Total defects and
second column shows Blocker/Critical. You can prior
Hi,
When you spin up a VM based on an ISO, you have to specify the hypervisor.
Just curious, but why does the user pick this?
Thanks!

One reason is that unlike the hypervisor specific templates, there's no
such information predetermined. Consider a cloudstack zone with both xen
and KVM clusters. User needs to choose which hypervisor to deploy in. Its
also important since the resulting install from iso will be in the chosen

Yeah, I guess I thought the end user wasn't generally concerned about
hypervisors...that CloudStack typically handles that, but maybe CloudStack
is more responsible for handling which cluster of the same hypervisor type
to place a new VM on.

Hi,
I was curious to learn more about VolumeManager and VolumeManagerImpl in
master.
They appear to be gone and I was interested in learning how this code has
been refactored.
Thanks!
