We have worked on a Chef cookbook that installs cloudstack/cloudplatform :
https://github.com/ClogenyTechnologies/chef-repo/tree/master/cookbooks/csinstaller
It works for both XenServer and VMWare. Although it is quite basic
and assumes all the infrastructure is available ..

I'm not sure about chef cookbooks for CloudStack, but we should survey some
known companies using CloudStack about how they deploy CloudStack. We
could then choose the most popular one to integrate with first.
