My suggestion would be to use a "fake" volume for each host and use that to
check the activity of a host. The volume can be updated by the agent
periodically and then we can use the above API from the management server
to query the volume activity.

2. If backend+hypervisor don't support cloning then we create an empty

I would start by adding a comment to the open PRs to see if the author is
responsive. If that's the case, then it means that review is need and we
can add the "waiting-for-review" tag. There are a few PRs that are in that
state but there are far more out there which need to have this tag added.

If your project is set up for it, you can reply to this email and have your
reply appear on GitHub as well. If your project does not have
have to add that support.

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if it is possible to set the boot order of VMs that
get created. We have a use case where we want to boot the VM from the
network. Does something like this exist? If no would people be
interested in having this functionality.

I've talked to folks here and I don't think I can give write access to you
for the Wiki. I will create a google form and lets' use that instead.

In the mean time, we need to figure out what is the deal with ASF and GSoC
and how we can get ourselves in.

there are student proposals which can be submitted independently. I
believe we don't have worry about this one as these are filled
independently by students.
I will update this post once I have the wiki page with proposed projects.

Hi Guys,
I am trying to understand the process here. Are there deadlines by which we
have to submit the proposals? Who are the participants? Do we have a wiki
page? If not, I can create one.
Thanks,

+1 for ApplicationCluster. I think it is generic and not tied to a specific
concept (machine,VM, service etc)

We already call the VMs as Instances. So, InstanceCluster would be a better
name imo.

@rhtyd @anshul1886 I suggest merging this first as the changes here are
very limited and tested. We can refactor the change out from #1941
