For anyone following along at home, I managed to make my own THTTPClient for thriftpy just fine. Unfortunately, thriftpy's TJSONProtocol seems to be *a* JSON protocol, not *the* JSON protocol: thrift: [1,"getJobSummary",1,0,{}] thriftpy: {"metadata": {"ttype": 1, "name": "getJobSummary", "version"
