Hi, the release vote has passed with 5 +1's and no other votes. Also we need to update the WHATSNEW [on the web site only, none in the release artefacts] to mention the fact that 1.9.0 requires Java 1.5. I am going to start copying the artifacts and updating the web site. Regards, Antoine ---

Hi, I am pleased to announce the release of Apache Ant 1.9.0. Apache Ant is a Java based build tool. - Version 1.9.0 is the first Ant release which requires at least Java 1.5. - support for @Ignore annotation and requirement of JUnit 4.11 - the zip, bzip2 and tar are improved - removal of the
