There has been ~ 2 weeks with +5 votes and no other votes.
I will mark ant-type as deprecated in the ANT_17_BRANCH,
I will leave the trunk alone at the moment - and just remove
the feature when I get some time.

It was added when the original add(Type) code was put
in.
It allows one to replace a class (y) in addX(Class y) with a
typedef as follows:
