Yes, can't use OpenGL interface applications like Blender 2.78a anymore after the driver update. I can run it but it doesn't draw the geometry correctly and then gives a black screen with a text cursor. I've made some progress. By setting up an xorg.conf with a modeline for the external display, I got graphics on the (lightdm) login screen to show up on it.
