even enabled gnome verbose log, there is not much hint,
but I do observe there is a gdbug segfault as below:

my thunderbolt storage + Dell thunderbolt Dock (WD22TB4) can reproduce this
issue,
and as #7, there is no nvidia GFX on XPS series,
and seems install thunderbolt-tools can WA this issue, but I think it's because
it installed it's own udev rule, so the rules are different
