I removed libreoffice-gtk and it shows the menu, only issue is that its
vanilla Libreoffice, which looks a little like something for windows.

What Raymond is getting at is there are 3 jacks on the lefthand side. One
is for Headphones/Digital, Line In and Microphone. Either of these ports
can be configured to whatever pulse audio want them to be. The HDMI
digital sound comes from the NVIDIA soundchip built into the NVIDIA 9600M

I too have just brought a Pro 5 and have hissing over car phone
Bluetooth, seemingly the mx4 does not have this issue.

I still have the issue on my Acer 8930 with the Intel Corp 5000 AGN
wireless adapter. Nm-applet says the device is not detected and system
settings Network manager says unavailable. I never downgraded just
manually added my wifi settings to the interfaces file.
Would be nice to have this bug fixe
I fixed the issue by purging Network-Manager, rebooting and installing
Network-Manager again, and hashing out /etc/network/interfaces setting.
All working now.
