There is something really strange going on here. After the test above, I logged
out. Next, on the login screen (gdm here), there wasn't my name-icon. I logged
in by using "not listed here..." option.
Login was much faster than normal now, and the automount is working this time.

now (from command line, apt-get update, apt-get upgrade to bypass the

I still think that the optional "use global menu only for maximized windows" is
still cleaner, easier and consistent. Nevertheless, i do not dislike LIM1.
