tried manual install of nvidia current driver:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:upubuntu-com/nvidia
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current
and when running NVIDIA x server settings a dialog says to run sudo
invidia-xconfig, which I did, then rebooted.

First I tried adding "nouveau.modeset=0" to bootflags, which got me to boot but
no greeter.
sddm appeared to be happily running but it failed to start the display server
restarting it did not help
"startx" worked, which gave me hope
It appeared the session "seat" had been dete
I got it working on a 2015 MacBook Air 7.2
From a 23.04 fresh installation it didin't work neither with a 22.04 fresh
installation. I tried all the tricks I found over internet and nothing worked.
I then had first to install an old Ubuntu 20.04 and block the version of the

The last scan does not complete when running the Simple Scan auto
feeder. Even when I restarted Simple Scan it did not want to do new

It really sounds like you might have a broken flash player. You should
check to see if adobe flash player is installed in Ubuntu. If you don't
have them installed you should get the restricted extras for Ubuntu use
this in the command terminal->
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras

This may be solved by upgrading to a newer version of Firefox because I tried
to recreate your bug and was not able. I have Firefox 19 though so you may want
to just upgrade and it will choose libraoffice.

Additional information: I deleted ~/.config/monitors.xml and let it be
re-created the next time I logged in and set up my monitor configuration
using the Displays dialog under System Settings. This had no effect (the
same issue was present the next time I logged in). I have attached the
