Just had it happen on trusty 64bit, on a GeForce GTX 760, happend after
update to nvidia-340 v. 340.29
A setting in CompizConfig has helped the issue: Under "Workarounds"
check "Force full screen redraws (buffer swap) on repaint"

I can turn off nautilus's desktop icons, and still have the link to the
desktop.

This also happened on my 22 inch LCD when I installed several various

Yeah, I had so many I could not even switch sessions, the list went
clear off the screen, I had to use tab and count how many tabs it took
to get to the bottom then tab back to the button. This was even on a
high resolution 22 inch monitor, so what does this have to do with
"vertically centering" a
How about making it "float", i.e. click and drag or move the entire list on
touch/hold event, and on mouse wheel/scroll-gesture.
That would maintain the current design, and remove the need for making new
scroll bar graphics, as well as solve bugs where the list goes off screen.

I tried the gentoo iso, and it seems they are on chromium 24, so while

should loose connection time to time because of the area. But then
comming outside at lunch it has stopped trying to connect - must toghle
airplane mode to get it to try again.

- alt+ctrl+t to open terminal
- sudo killall gnome-session
- move mouse to verify it is there
- login again...

That demo was just using chrome on xmir.
But you can change user agents for webapps -

in-a-webapp so It could work if we get the same changes into the Ubuntu
broswer oxide which is based on chromium, so I imagine it could be added
nice, then we should get a package that is a add-on for chromimum( like
pepper flash) in the software center - that downloads chrome and copies
the plugin over.

trick for doing it forcing to extend to a nonexistant display then
mirroring all the content to the chromecast in which the content going
to the tv is first, and content going to the computer is able to be

I'm not sure they would consider it upstream, as they have different
goals then when the program is closely integrated into Ubuntu, I would
say it is a ux papercut for using it in unity, or other Ubuntu desktops
when launching from a file manager.
