This effects two computers that I have, both running older GeForce
cards. Happens randomly but I rarely get more that 4-5 mins use after
boot before it crashes.

After upgrading from 11.10 to 12.04 the submenu's to be able to connect
to PPTP VPNs dissapeared. This shouldn't happen. This was resoved by
editing /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf and changing
"managed=false" to "managed=true".

I do not believe this is the same bug because:
1. I see no difference if I create a new user,
2. My issue is intermittent, the other reported issue seems to happen every
time.
Also another thing to note: the eth0 connection is intermittent but the
VPN submenu is NEVER available it woul
I think the missing VPN submenu is a separate issue and I will raise it
as a new bug.
