Has anyone tried 'fixing' the slow graphics on Ubuntu 14.10 on Intel
graphics hardware by upgrading to an pre-release version of Ubuntu
15.04? I might be tempted to swap from 14.10 to 15.04 Beta1 (released
Feb 26th) if it fixes the sluggish graphics performance.

I have two monitors and am getting the same bug. I'm using LibreOffice
3.5.3.2 (ubuntu repositories) and Ubuntu 12.04 x64. LO worked fine on
Ubuntu 11.10. The only "fix" I've found is to disable my second monitor
(this isn't an acceptable fix).

Uninstalling "libreoffice-gtk" fixes the menu problem for me
(but LibreOffice looks rather ugly without GTK+ integration so this should be
viewed as an ugly hack rather than a satisfactory fix... but at least it works)

Setting the orientation of my second monitor in `nvidia-settings` works
correctly (panning and tracking are not enabled).
Here's the output of `xrandr` after rotating my second monitor in
`nvidia-settings`:
