Ok. So the "high channel count" part is fixed with 6.0.
The "non interleaved access" was never a problem (emulated by alsa plug
layer).
Tsched=0 workarounds...should in general be fixed in ALSA rather than
PulseAudio. Raymond's patch is probably correct but I'm not qualified to

JFTR, Luke has already uploaded a fix for this, but it's waiting in
vivid-proposed, probably since we're in Beta 1 freeze in which case it
should be in vivid on Friday.

probably want to add "-c 1" or similar to get the analog card instead.
2) Looking at your alsa-info, it seems like somebody has already tried
to improve the driver for your card. I'd encourage you to try the lates
Errors of this sort in a development release are often transitional.
Could you try running "sudo apt-get update" again and see if that
resolves the problem?

there is a "Pink Mic" and pin 0x12, but according to your alsa-info,
there's nothing at pin 0x12.

connectors are connected on the codec chip. Later kernels rely more
heavily on this information.

If you can confirm that both playback and recording works fine with
"options snd-hda-intel position_fix=1", I can submit a kernel patch to
make this the default for your particular machine.

removed from the kernel by default. It was removed in kernel 3.7 and I
