I've got that in progress. In the meantime, I realized there was a newer
kernel+driver from yours and the xorg-edgers PPAs, so I did that upgrade, and
now unity-control-center only sees one external monitor, with the second being
treated as a mirror of the first. This is using:
3.16.0-28-generic
3.17 functions almost 100% correct. I'm able to use both external
displays again, and Ubuntu can see them after unplugging/plugging in,
and after suspend/wake. The only issue is that I sometimes have to
disable and re-enable the monitors to get a picture back after plugging
back in or waking back u

Confirmed this issue after upgrading from ubuntu 12.04 to 12.10, trying

Having the same issue on a 12.04 laptop. I have a synergy client set to
start up with the system; the behavior only appears while the machine is

Any time an IPv6 route lookup happens, the kernel generates a new
routing cache entry and notifies userspace using a netlink "new route"
message with the RTM_F_CLONED flag set on the route.
Network Manager doesn't check for this flag, so it accepts it as a new
real route and
Patch attached that checks whether a new route notification is for a
route cache entry, and if so, ignores it. Solves the problem for me, but
I haven't checked for regressions or more complex use cases.
Diff is against 0.9.4.0-0ubuntu4.1.
