For me, sometimes after login login overlay is not disappeared and
prevent from showing any window, but mouse and maybe keyboard events
still delivered to some screen areas (see screenshoot).

Thank you for the 3 patches listed in Post #5 provided by Milhouse, they
work perfectly by themselves for Linux Kernel 5.7 with Nvidia driver
340.108. No other patches are necessary.
Both kernel modules (nvidia & nvidia_uvm) are built nicely and work
well!

There has been many proposals to upstream throughout years for fixing
that stupid and ridiculous ellipsis.
Upstream seems not to want to merge those because these days they are
working on a new app grid - where ellipsis is still a thing.
It's been years they don't care.
Maybe that should be fixe

I'm testing the latest stable release update for chromium-browser on
xenial (83.0.4103.61-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 from ppa:canonical-chromium-
builds/stage), and I'm observing that the renderer process consistently
crashes when attempting to play back video.

I mean, it doesn't sound logical for me for the error tracking system to
not be able to distinguish between issues with extensions and ones with
core gnome. But i don't know about gnome enough.
