I see that many people say that killall nautilus works for them but it
doesn't change anything for me. Perhaps someone could spell out the
exact sequence of actions so that I can make sure that I am the problem?
What I am doing right now is
insert USB
try to paste something into it using nautilus
Uninstalling all Gnome extensions doesn't make any difference. Before
January 2019 everything worked as expected - with or without extensions.
The above described bug came up at around Jan 10 2019, and was never
fixed. The fix of bug 1812266 didn't change anything to the better.

not the problem. Your USB is write protected or your computer is picking it
up like that for some reason.
You can insert the USB Stick and then run:
dmesg | tail
To see the system log. There you can see if the write protec

I'm unable to reproduce the test failure in an amd64 eoan VM. The smoke
tests consistently pass there. Sounds like this might be something
specific to the autopkgtest infrastructure. I'm going to try and

I've retried the failing tests, except why3 which I think is just busted
(not glib2.0's fault - good for a badtest?)
Have smoke tested on disco and it seems good to me. I ran the desktop
for a bit, checking the video player, text editor, image viewer and web
browser. Shell itself of course uses GL

I can now reproduce the failure by running the test with nosetests3
manually.
Removing the "--log-path=/tmp/chromedriver.log" service arg fixes the
issue. The confined chromedriver bails out when it fails to write there:

I have a Intel NUC7PJYH with HDMI video and audio to a monitor. Also I use
SPDIF ac3 output (having libasound2-plugins-extra). This always worked fine.
Since a few weeks, HDMI and ac3 is gone. I.e. 'aplay -l' does not show HDMI any
more.

The process with this pc and my tv monitor (an old Sonoko) always takes alot
with Ubuntu. It takes even a little bit with Windows on the same device, but
with this distro (the only one I've ever tried, 19.04) it can even takes
minutes and even a counter intuitive setup.

All autopkgtests for the newly accepted gnome-settings-daemon (3.32.1-0ubuntu1)
for disco have finished running.
There have been regressions in tests triggered by the package. Please visit the
