I needed to re-install recordmydesktop for some debug usage and opened
up the Software Center in Xenial and attempted to do so.
Searches for 'recordmydesktop' in the software-center returned nothing,
as the screenshot shows.
However, it's plainly available if you do an apt-c
So the display scaling issue is fixed by new gtk upload, and the nvidia
prime issue is fixed by a patch to xserver on the ppa.
These can move now.

With Xenial, when I boot with kernel command-line parameter systemd.unit
=multi-user.target (i.e. non-graphical "runlevel", don't start X11),
then the virtual consoles do work. But then when I do "sudo systemctl
isolate graphical.target" to start X11, then the virtual consoles don't

Yes, it was happening on Ubuntu 15.10 as well with latest BIOS (version

Hi Christopher,
Thank you for all the help. As I have tried to explain on
launchpad.net, the problem was solved by rebooting several times--it was
just a transient error.

hotkey did not help. As can be seen from the logs, NM reports wifi's

I had seen this before and hadn't even realized that "XT1039 Network"
repeated like 37 times had something to do with my own Android phone, a
motorola Moto G. Needless to say I have only
