Actually this seems to affect every key that is not handled directly to
the target application, but indirectly (through the window-manager?),
e.g. also media buttons when the associated media application window is
not focused.
I also seem to have stumbled over a workaround somehow: I'm using Ubunt
Affects me as well. I can only add my organization's main calendar, not
any of the other ones. This is pathetic. It also takes forever for
whatever it is doing to fail.

The problem has reappeared in the latest three Ubuntu kernels, including
3.16.0-31-generic. I can no longer scan.
There seems to have been a change that meant the system started to
recognise the card reader in my Canon MP550 printer, so I get messages

I'm not sure if this is actually a bug, but here goes.
Unity-greeter and the other greeter packages only recommends lightdm.
This means that you can install a greeter, such as lightdm-gtk-greete,
thinking that you now got lightdm installed and then reboot to find that
it's no
Attached two files: one that prints in landscape correctly, and other
that don't. The first was created with Gedit and the second with
Libreoffice.
