Input method set to ibus i

After a fresh install I see the keyboard shortcuts for unity.
It has a cross in a circle in the top left corner. Clicking on this
does nothing.
The only way to get rid of it is to open the dash.

- VP9 is already supported on Trusty with Totem (gstreamer), Firefox (default
version bundled with Trusty), VLC and probably other software
- VP9 will probably quickly replace VP8 as the best free/open-source video codec
- Trusty is an LTS version : I think that

The gutenprint backend crash is due to not catching the failure of
libusb_init().
Why libusb_init is failing is another matter entirely...
Oh, one more thing; can you run 'ls -l /usr/lib/cups/backend/' for me?

I messed around with a concept of a fix, https://code.launchpad.net
/~colin-king/gconf/lp-1292021 - however I'm not sufficiently experienced
to know how to get this fix into the package, so I'd prefer if the
desktop team could handle it for me. Is that OK?

I left my laptop, hooked to an external monitor so I have dual screen
setup, alone for a good 1/2 hour and Compiz CPU usage was around 20%.
That is enough CPU utilization to keep the laptop's fan on.
Not sure why the CPU utilization was so high. The machine had one
terminal ,

I've run into this bug too, and reported it as you requested. I am running
Ubuntu 13.10, Kernal 3.12.0-031200rc7-generic #201310271935
SMP Sun Oct 27 23:37:06 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I upgraded the kernal as it seemed like the best way to get nvidia-prime
to run.
