More information - starting cairo-dock after rebooting has no negative
effect on either the network-manager or restart/shutdown applet, so it

I recently switched away from Cinnamon/gnome back to Xfce 4.12 (with
window composition disabled) & I haven't noticed the problem anymore
after a few solid days of use.

If it isn't, please remove the "patch" flag from the attachment, remove

The desktop environment is LXDE (lxde-core 0.5.0-4ubuntu4). I have not
made any changes to the default theme configuration except for
installing the themes listed in the startpost.
