This is very weird. My screen flickers most of the time. I'm using
NVIDIA's latest 313-updates drivers on Ubuntu 13.
Even when I go into BIOS, it flickers there. So this means the graphic

Yes, you are right - it was broken in ppa2 version. But now it works -
when I close conversation (even when there are unread messages), item
from menu is removed. And when envelope is blue because of unread
conversation I'm closing, it turns black as it should.

It's not really clear from your bug report whether you're reporting an
actual bug or just reporting a bug because the UX has changed. In any
case, the behaviour you describe is intended (although, I'm not really
sure what you mean by "there is no icon for the new dialog" - there is
an entry in the
Saucy's all well and good, but that's 5 months away. How would I go
about installing the fix into Raring? Or will it be appearing as an

Yes, inadequate shielding of the IO lines can cause spurious interrupts,
and has certainly been in the past the main cause of hotplug storms. In
this case, I suspect it is the firmware / firmware driver that is broken
and causing the interrupt storm. Short of physically inspecting the
signal lines,

Firefox 21 won't start when the AppArmor profile is in enforce mode.
It denies access to create and write into ~/.cache/mozilla/firefox/.
Adding the following rules fixes the problem:

the modesetting module and now I get this error in Xorg log:
open /dev/dri/card1: Resource temporarily unavailable I don't see any
new screen in display manager

If I remember correctly that was a bug in v3.8 drm/udl.

My HTPC is hooked up to a Toshiba 37C3000P. Ubuntu starts up in the correct
resolution - 1280x720, which fills the screen.
When I turn the TV off and then back on and when I change to another channel
and then go back, the resolution changes to 1920x1080, which is higher than
Today, it was doing the failing again. I saw the update here and apt-get
upgraded. It's working again. I think that confirms the fix.
