That's not specific to the sound capplet, if you use tab to focus the
notebook widget it works, the same issue happens with other capplets
(keyboard, mouse, ...)

in gtk due to freetype, not sure if that bug is also due to freetype or
to pango or gtk ... did that happen in previous versions (i.e oneiric)?
