I'd like to add that in desperation I've assign F3 to "Find and Replace"
instead. Would like to swap the 2 but unable to, because "Find" cannot
be found in Customize>Keyboa

The issue with close find function to add key binding is that you
wouldn't be able to assign Cntrl + f because it's already assigned. I
think it's much more functional to just have it as the same key binding
and throw in a simple check to see if the dialog is already open, if it
is, close it if the
Another problem is: on Windows and Linux when text cursor is in Find
toolbar, then no keybindings are working. We must press Esc or Tab
before use keybinding.

This bug was noticed in Calc.
When doing search, the toolbar was invisible (for the last 2 months...), but
the bottom draw toolbar disapeared when searching.
I was able to get it back (in Calc) by moving the bottom Draw toolbar to the
top. Afterwards, the simple Find toolbar became visible on th
Oh I see, yes there is a tiny "Find Text" box that appears in the upper-
right edge of one of my toolbars, but even when I click on the arrow
button to expand it, some extra functions are available but still no
text box to see what I'm searching for. So this bug seems to go back to
a design flaw. T
I seemed to get it back just now. I realized that the Find toolbar was
attached vertically, with no text field. When I detached it from there,
and attached it horizontally or freed it, the text field showed up.
I'll keep an eye on this to determine if it's the same problem or not.
