When I ran gnome-software from the command line, I got these messages:
Only 0 apps for recent list, hiding
failed to get featured apps: no apps to show
Only 0 apps for curated list, hiding
Tried to set invalid release date: 2022

I do not believe that other bug is related to this. I was also able to
duplicate this issue in Debian Testing which does not have that patch.

Example:
- search for "xournal"
- search result is snap-only, deb package is not listed
