Ubuntu needs a lock feature in the gnome sound settings, because each
time a device is detected the output/input will change automatically.
Sometimes this feature is wanted (I plug-in a headphone) sometimes

Thanks for responding. Yes, the workaround works to comment out load-
module module-switch-on-connect.
