available from the very top line at the top of the page (the release
names are irrelevant for testing, and please do not test the daily
folder) following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will
allow additional upstream
Here are a few excerpts from my /var/log/syslog. I've included all
mentions of "drm" or "i915" up to the point I get the call trace.

monitor in, then the mouse, keyboard, etc. becomes unresponsive? Is it
that xorg crashes (ex. you are logged out automatically)?

Yes, it existed on 14.04 LTS, in a different form (the entire machine
would freeze if I plugged in a second monitor. Intel's drivers site (and
assorted information on the web) says that nothing earlier than 15.04
should be running on the NUC i5
(btw: my last name starts with an uppercase I, not a
John loannidis, did this problem not occur in a release prior to Vivid?
