XMir 1.0 (the old Xorg extension) is now deprecated and is not being
maintained or fixed. It is replaced by the new 'Xmir' binary (package
'xmir') introduced in Ubuntu 15.10 wily.
Is there any way to reproduce this bug without the old Xmir?

Gerry,
Please log a new bug with "ubuntu-bug mir". And if that fails to attach logs,
then please also add a distro task to it: "mir (Ubuntu)" and then run
"apport-collect ".

Probably not the same issue, but as of 0.1.2+14.04.20131128.1-0ubuntu2,
xmir fails to start for me. Had to disable xmir to start. Can't find any
obvious error in a log file, suggestions?
