Public bug reported: eog crashes on startup with a "segmentation fault (core dumped)" when no parameter is given. i.e. trying to start "eog" with no parameter from the unity launcher or from a terminal leads to an immediate segfault. Starting "eog *.jpg" or "eog image.jpg" or starting eog from the file manager by clicking an image file work. (Trying to start eog from a terminal with a non-existent parameter causes an immediate segfault.)
