I'm on 13.04 on a Nexus7 too and I really would love to find a way to apply
these patches, even manually.

In ubuntu 14.04 everything seems to be normal.
But when i tried kubuntu 14.04 there was a big similar to this. I can tap the
screen but there is no click event. Also some of the windows are "running away"

After some investigation, I found that the compiz segfault was due to an
undefined symbol:

Yes, I can reproduce this, using the right-click emulator of onboard
makes the touch clicking fail. Probably I did not see this earlier as I
rarely use the right click. Seems that my suggested patch is only a
