2. Open Firefox
3. Hit Ctrl+S to open the File Save dialog.
4. Make sure that the "Name" field has focus (which it may not because of
another bug) and attempt to paste: Ctrl+V

Nautilus apparently clears the keyboard buffer sometimes, e.g. when
moving to another directory. If the user is using type ahead rather
rapidly, as power users do, the first character typed while a nautilus
window is opened or while switching to a new folder is discarded.

nautilus connect to server cannot connect to smb with ntlm security

Just browsing, I noticed that my ventilator was heavily working. "top"
revealed that it was Thunderbird that was spiking the cpu, even though
it had just been open in the background for a long time. My computer was
up for 3 hours 15 minutes at that time. Indeed, the output of top below,
sorted by T
It turns out that "Duplexer installed" was checked for my printer, where
there is none. Unchecking this resolved the issue. My issue therefore is
invalid. Sorry for taking your time and thank you for the assistance.
