fails.

I have the exact same issue, no network connectivity after sleeping.
the adapter is there, eth0, but it does not get a new ip address from DHCP.
dhclient process is running.

there is no setting for hibernation (you can enable/disable sleep)
supposedly hibernation is disabled by default
(/var/lib/polkit-1/localauthority/10-vendor.d/com.ubuntu.desktop.pkla
says so too) but still instead of sleeping, computer hibernates.
