@Timo. Glory be. You made my day. I downloaded the 13.04 Daily Build om March
9, 2013 at 17:00 hours local time (GMT+1).
The Latitude D410 booted OK from DVD. After having installed Raring Ringtail
the laptop also booted from disk. Its working. Thanks for your effort.

Tried forked-daapd on an ubuntu installation in virtualbox. Rhythmbox
works like a charm. And now I see that it also works with my synology
iTunes server. Mystery. Probably some cache somewhere. Sorry to have
bothered you.
** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Invalid

I tried Banshee and found it could not connect to the synology music
server at all. As probable cause an incompatibility with iTunes was
given. So the Rhythmbox problem might be the same. I will try mt-daap on
a ubuntu installation in virtualbox and see what happens.

Public bug reported:
Rhythmbox retrieves 11571 songs from my synology daap music server and
then shows "retrieving songs from music share" for what seems to be "for
ever". The songs that are listed cannot be played, meaning that when I
double click a song it shows up as being played but no music.
Please understand that I am not at all sure the xorg-server is causing
the problem. Something with the graphics seems not ok though
** Package changed: ubuntu => xorg-server (Ubuntu)
